Insurance Replacement Appraisals (IRA) are the most common types of appraisals. They are used to obtain insurance coverage on existing and newly acquired jewelry. Hearts & Arrows will provide a detailed documentation used to establish the approximate retail replacement value of the item(s) to be insured.

- In the event you are named executor of an estate or conservator for an individual, an estate appraisal of their jewelry may be necessary. The attorney handling probate will advise you if this is so. If the attorney deems necessary, we will prepare an estate appraisal documenting the fair market value of the included items.

- Comparison Appraisal is an Appraisal Value of your item(s) in today's Fair Market Value which is no longer in production or is an irreplaceable item(s) such as a "hand-made" or "one-of-a-kind" items. 

- An Appraisal Update is basically a replacement value update of your current jewelry item(s) that have not been appraised or re-appraised for 5 or more years.
